Dr. Rania Al-Mashat: Great opportunities for partnership between the Russian and Egyptian private sectors

Minister of International Cooperation, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, stressed that the strong Egyptian-African relations and the Russian efforts to expand in the continent of Africa open huge opportunities for cooperation between the Egyptian and Russian private sectors to implement development projects in the continent of Africa.


In a telephone interview with the Business and Finance program on the Extra News channel, she indicated that Egyptian-Russian relations are witnessing great momentum under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his Russian counterpart, as the comprehensive partnership agreement was signed between the two countries in 2018.


She also indicated that Presidents Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Vladimir Putin co-chaired the Russian-African summit in 2019, which resulted in many joint projects with African countries, and the second summit is scheduled to be held in 2022, which opens more development partnerships with Africa and Russia. .


She stressed that Egypt is Russia's gateway to expansion in the continent of Africa, especially in light of the economic relations between the two countries, where Russian companies are implementing the Dabaa nuclear plant with a value of 25 billion dollars, and the Russian industrial zone is being implemented in the economic zone of the Suez Canal with expected investments of 7 billion dollars, to be an export platform. important for Africa.


The Minister of International Cooperation, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, will participate in the activities of the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, Russia, from June 2-5, which is the largest international gathering since the Corona pandemic.
